Automobiles in German Town Found Covered with Swastikas in Human Blood, Police Report

Incident location Affected vehicle Area Police
Police reported they were notified by a resident who found a automobile in Hanau covered with reddish substance

Approximately fifty vehicles have been smeared with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the German municipality of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, according to police.

Cars, building surfaces and postboxes were marked, sometimes with Nazi symbols, they reported in a release.

Law enforcement report they were contacted during the night on Wednesday, when a resident discovered that a automobile in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been marked with a reddish fluid.

The fluid had been applied in the shape of a Nazi symbol, they stated.

Police then found numerous other vandalized vehicles and residential walls in the surrounding area.

Nazi symbols are banned in Germany under regulations outlawing the public exhibition of symbols from the Nazi era.

Officials report preliminary tests show the substance was probably human bodily fluid.

"Currently there is no indication as to where it came from; authorities are presently not cognizant of any physical harm in relation with the event," they commented.

City officials announced they were trying "to solve the mystery" and have requested to the residents for information.

An important representative stated the attack made him speechless and required to be resolved quickly.

"This incident strikes at the center of Hanau and revives the wounds of the right-wing violent incident five years ago," he stated on online, referring to the murder of nine victims by a shooter targeting individuals of foreign heritage in 2020.
