Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to build hype for next month's boxing match.
Ex two-time world title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I will injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the novice remains one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary confrontation, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really going ahead.
